What is Sinusitis?
The tiny hair-like structures called cilia help move mucus across sinus membranes and toward an exit. All sinus cavities connect to nose to allow free exchange of air and mucus. Infection or allergies make sinus tissues inflamed, red and swollen. That is called sinusitis .Sinusitis usually starts with inflammation triggered by a cold, allergy attack or irritant. This makes sinus tissues swell.
Symptoms of sinusitis
Stuffy nose & pain or pressure in several locations around the face or teeth. There is usually nasal discharge that may be yellow, green or clear. Other symptoms may include fatigue, decreased sense of smell and / or taste, cough, sore throat, bad breath, headache, pain on bending forward, and fever.
How to cure sinusitis
Most sinusitis cases are caused by viruses and resolve without antibiotics. To cure sinusitis requires to reduce internal skin sensitivity of nose. Also immunity must be increased to resist infection. There are many herbal medicines in Ayurveda to both of the above.
